An ideal environment for resident mares

Highclere Stud has a resident band of around 30 active broodmares, including high-class race fillies and established bloodlines developed over generations as well as an elite number of broodmares for independent clients.

Highclere Stud is perfectly equipped for the permanent boarding of mares due to its highly experienced managerial team who are regularly supported by top class vets from Donnington Grove in Newbury. We also have expert farrier work over seen by veteran Tim Rushton and a fantastic stud secretary who ensures the smooth running of all communications and all other logistics.
