Two Motivator fillies gain valuable Black-Type

Two fillies by Motivator gained black-type at the weekend.  Captivator finished second in the Dahlia Stakes (Gr.3) over 1m1f at Newmarket yesterday, and looks sure to win a Group race this season.

In April she got the Flat season off to a great start for Motivator in winning the 1m Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes (L) at Kempton.  Owned and bred by Lord Vestey, Captivator is out of Cashew and is the half-sister to several Stakes horses.  She is also from Motivator’s outstanding first-crop that has produced 12 Stakes horses from just 63 foals.

On Saturday at Goodwood, the four-year-old Motivator filly Creme Anglaise finished third in the Daisy Warwick Stakes (L) for trainer Michael Bell and owner Mrs Rowland-Clark.  Bred by Newsells Park Stud she is a half-sister to multiple Stakes winner Grafitti.

Also at Newmarket this Guineas weekend, the three-year-old Motivator colt Rewarded produced a strong finish to gain his third win.
