2nd July – Galileo Gold won at Haydock over 7f. He was ‘strong in the market.. he was always well in command and coped well with the softer ground. There should be more to come with further experience.’

2nd July – Kuramathi came 1st in the Irish Stallion Farms Europeans Breeders Maiden in Ireland from a field of 7.

3rd July – Druid’s Ridge won well at Doncaster. Trained by John Gosden and ridden by Frankie Dettori.

7th July – Boyci came out on top of the field at Wolverhampton. He ‘was never going to be caught once sent to the front half way up the straight.’

11th July – Husbandry won at York. ‘The Paco Boy colt produced an RPR of 84 that day and was clearly the one to beat on that form.

18th July – Pacify came 1st at Newmarket in the Greenalls Gin Handicap over 1m 2f.

28th July – Galileo Gold won the Gr.2 Qatar Vintage Stakes at Goodwood. Trained by Hugo Palmer and ridden to victory by Franki Dettori for Al Shaqab racing. He ‘saw his race out well picking up smartly having been switched inside. He should have no trouble with 1m and a race such as The Royal Lodge may be a fitting target.’

30th July – Pacolita (Clara) had a great come back for Sylvester Kirk in a 7f handicap at Epsom after having an 11 week break.
