Highclere Thoroughbred Racing’s annual yearling parade at Highclere Stud. spread over two days was a huge success this year with all the syndicates being sold by the end of the two day event. Each day kicked off with coffee and bacon rolls for all guests followed by the yearling parade itself where Harry Herbert, Jake and Carolyn all explained why they had bought each individual yearling and the work involved in getting them into such peak condition. The parade was then followed by an unbelievably spoiling lunch to thank all HTR members for their continued support.
Jake Warren explaining the ideal conformation in a yearling.
The Highclere Stud staff who have worked SO hard at making sure our yearlings were at their absolute best for the sales.

Victoria Pendelton who has had a syndicate named after her as a Gold Medal winning Olympian!

Here at Highclere Stud we welcome people with a thirst for knowledge and an aptitude for learning. We often have people join the team on work experience broadening their understanding of the industry and giving them a taste of life on a busy stud farm. Below is a letter of thanks from one such individual following his time here.
‘Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to work at Highclere Stud. It’s not everyday that a person like me, with limited experience of horses, gets an opportunity to work for a highly regarded and successful establishment like Highclere. The experience I gained was invaluable and I literally didn’t stop learning until the very last minute. All the staff were so patient with me and they guided me through excellently. Mornings with the farrier, overseeing veterinary procedures and being present at coverings helped my understanding of the Bloodstock world immensely. I cannot thank you enough.’
