Foundation wins Gr. 2 in Newmarket!

A great result for John & Jake Warren Bloodstock with 2 year old Foundation (Zophany ex. Roystonea) winning the Judmont Royal Lodge Stakes Group 2 in Newmarket. Foundation ‘handled the drying conditions and undulating course just fine, taking his record to 3-3.. He made the runner up look quite slow when making his move.. the Racing Post Trophy is the next logical step.’

He was bought by John & Jake Warren at Goffs in 2014 for 190,000 Euros.

Trained by John Gosden and ridden by Franki Dettori for a Highclere Thoroughbred Racing syndicate it has been a very exciting start for this young horse.

Paco Boy’s September and October winners

3rd September – Robanne – won at Salford in a field of 10.

5th September – Maljaa (Kerry’s Dream) – beat a field of 15 at Haydock. He was ‘close up all the way and he held off some fast finishers from the back and is knocking on the door of listed company.’

7th September – Safira Mennina (Isla Azul) won in Brighton and is ‘clearly a progressive filly who is happy on grass, she looks capable of a good bit further progress and can win again.’

10th September – Fei Kuai was leader of the field at Chepstow.

21st September – Pacolita (Clara) beat a field of 10 at Leicester over 7f. ‘She always looked to be doing enough under a good ride.’

25th September – Mitchum Swagger (Don’t Dili Dali) won well at Haydock. ‘Coming fast and late from off the pace to win on his debut over 7f at Newbury, it was a near repeat as he weaved a winning passage through the traffic.

26th September – Chicodora won at Haydock, ‘she handles these conditions well and should make a fair handicapper.’

26th September – Maljaa (Kerry’s Dream) led the field again at Haydock. Trained by Roger Varian and beating a field of 15 he ‘confirmed himself an excellent sprinter for next season.’

OCTOBER

10th October – Garcia (Birdie) won at York. ‘He possesses the scope to make a very useful handicapper at three.’
