Highclere also triumphed this week as Postponed won the Great Voltigeur Stakes Gr.2 at York, owned and bred by Andrew Stone the Dubawi 3yo was sold by Highclere Stud at the Tattersalls Part 1 sale. Not only did Carolyn Warren do a magnificent job with rearing and preparing him for sale, John and Jake Warren were on the other side of the rope and bid to secure him for 360,000gns for new owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid and trainer Luca Cumani. Well done team!
Paco Boy’s success in his first season continues week by week, he secured another smart double this week with Smaih winning impressively at Deauville and Marigot Bay costly winning at Leicester. Only a few days before that the Johnny Murtagh trained filly Puck Fair won at Leopardstown in Ireland. Paco Boy is now well into double figures and is proving to be a very exciting stallion prospect. We are all focussing on the Gimcrack Stakes at York on Saturday where Beacon bids to become first Gr.2 winner!

Paco Boy had another exciting week as Azraff bolted up to win at Newmarket on Friday. The improving 2yo was in control throughout the race and looks to be an exciting prospect for trainer Marco Botti. Azraff was bred by Lodge Park Stud and bought for 57,000gns by Tony Nerses for Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar.
On the same day Cherek (Paco Boy ex Cherryxma) got off to a good start coming 2nd on debut at Deaville for owner and breeder HH The Aga Khan. Cherek looks to be an exciting horse who will no doubt be added to the list of winners for Paco Boy before long.
